New Camera

I think I'm in the market for a new camera. My photos turn out well, but have been noticing the quality seems to be going downhill. It's lasted me a long time, but the buttons are starting to stay pressed in and cannot get it to work well with certain lighting (indoor arenas, snow). Sometimes I will get home and load photos only to discover that half of them did not turn out well.

Do you all have any suggestions on some good cameras? I am planning on heading to the camera store soon to play around with some.
